Clean and cheap (for Japan.) Halfway between Kamishiro station/bus stop and Goryu mountain. About a 10 min walk each. Highly recommend arrival during the hours they can pick you up/drop off, listed on the web site.
Mostly Aussies there for skiing in the winter, everyone friendly. Rooms sparse but functional and clean, free WiFi. No shoes in the hostel, leave at entrance.
Room by entrance to keep your ski equipment but stank like feet. Ugh. Staff relatively nice, just don't ask the same question twice of they might get pissed off, a bit anal with the recycling, kitchen, and stuff ike that too. They should just write everything down so people don't have to ask!
Not much in the area, just a couple of restaurants here and there, it's a quiet rural part of Hakuba. Goryu is walkable, 47 is connected. Happo-one is far, train to shuttle bus, a bit inconvenient and only two train times. 753am or 1040am.
