While the old saying "Arrive as guests, leave as friends" can be overdone, it really does describe my recent three-day stay at Lisnacurran. Lynne McCabe took a genuine interest in the purpose of my visit to Ulster (family history) and provided valuable background information which gave direction to key elements of my search. Access to computer facilities was a bonus. The very high standard of traditional accommodation and breakfasts was not matched at any of the other places I stayed at during my three weeks in Northern Ireland and England. I will certainly use Lisnacurran as the base for my next visit and recommend it without reservation.

I thought my regular B&B couldn't be bettered - but I was wrong. When my regular place was already fully booked, I resigned myself to going somewhere less pleasing, but Lisnacurran proved to be both even better and very slightly cheaper. The welcome was warm, the bedroom absolutely lovely, the breakfasts first class, the facilities exceptionally good (including a gorgeous guests lounge and a very useful guests office including pc, printer, etc), and the bill didn't break the bank. I look forward to being back in the New Year.

We planned a 2 day trip around our 1 night stay at Lisnacurran B & B. The chance to enjoy the amazing scenery around County Down was great and our Saturday evening was just perfect when we checked in and found we could relax in the beautiful drawing room- curled up in front of a roaring fire to watch a movie and chillax! The hospitality of Jonathan and Lynn was second to none and we enjoyed a first class breakfast in the morning followed by a nice walk in the grounds (grey squirrels and donkey included). The house is a beautiful country house with excellent decor and much attention to detail. We would certainly return and have told many friends about this lovely place- real 'home away from home'. A lovely house with lovely rooms. Great comfortable common area. Delicious breakfasts and they had soy milk for my special diet. Wish the owners could have been around more to answer questions, etc., but they wot and have small children and are quite busy.
