We booked this hotel in a 50% sale for a summer weekend in the Dolomites. The location is good, 15min drive up to San Martino Di Castrozza. Our room was a "junior suite" (103) it had the biggest balcony. The hotel owner was very nice, sadly there were some negatives to our stay. Our biggest problem was breakfast, the tables in the restaurant were pre-laid out ready with marmalade croissants for guests. My partner and I were just finishing our breakfast and saw the hotel cat jump up onto another table and merrily start licking/eating the croissants! We felt quite sick realising he probably had done the same to ours before we arrived! The cat seems to go un-noticed wherever it likes, it also proceeded to jump up and sit its bottom on a serving trolley. Our room had cobwebs, the shower leaked more water out of the hose than the shower head, the toilet kept running after you flushed it, the sink tap leaked too and the sunchair on the balcony was broken. I sat in it and the back completely collapsed, leaving me feet up in the air, face down on the floor! my partner had to run to my rescue! The hotel is very noisy, we could hear every word from our neighbours, doors banging, people talking in the corridor etc - you cant have a lay in! The bed was also too hard for me personally. The booking said "full english breakfast" - it wasn't, it was a cold continental breakfast. Then when we left, the owner disputed us having the room for half price (regular price 240 euros, but in the sale 100 euros) he wanted us to pay 240!, we very luckily had our email confirmation printed out to prove we only owed 100. Its a shame there were so many little niggles, as we liked the owner alot, he is trying his best and is a nice guy. But im afraid there is quite a bit of room for improvement at the hotel.
