We've stayed here a couple of times now and it has become an absolute favourite when we visit this part of Devon. There is simply nothing better and we can only fully agree with all the other comments made here on Trip Advisor. If there was a '6' button, we'd be pressing it.

We used their new 'Explore' section of their web site before we visited which gave us lots of information about Hatherleigh and Devon, so we could make the best of our time there and plan our days out. Great idea, well worth a look.

Raymont House is the beautiful home of Jan and Alan; comfort and luxury at an ubelievably reasonable cost; spacious tasteful bedroom with sole use of amazing bathroom with freestanding bath......or large shower. What a wonderful place to relax! And just when you think it can't get any better, breakfast consists not only of delicious and locally sourced english staples (plus other specials/options) but a healthy selection of freshly prepared fruit salad/seeds/yoghurt and homemade bread, all served in yet more tasteful surroundings, next to inglenook fireplace. It's impossible to fault this b&b located in unassuming small town of Hatherleigh with it's 3 cosy pubs/couple of untouristy small shops, great walking, right on edge of dartmoor, best base for discovering mid and north Devon. Such a fabulous discovery. We'll be returning..........often!

Best bed I have ever slept in. The breakfast is delectable and very very good. Alan and Lucy were very friendly to us and we felt like we were in our home. If you want to explore Hatherleigh and around Devon. I really recommend this place as this is the best hotel I have ever been!

Both Jan and Alan were fabulous hosts and made us feel very welcome from the start.

The rooms were spotless, luxurious and beautifully decorated, and breakfast was exceptional (you must try the bacon!).

We would certainly stay here again.
