Area around St Moritz is expensive, but Chesa Silva is a great find for budget appartment/hotel.

We arrived very late (almost 2am) without informing the hotel. but the staff was very kind to leave notes and keys at the lobby for us to pick up, very thoughtful.

the hotel is conviniently located right next to the lake, and only a short walk to cable car station which takes you up the mountain.

all in all, great value!

We booked this hotel because the ones we wanted to go to where fully booked that weekend. While it's dated and basic, it was clean and it served its purpose.The staff were friendly, too. Breakfast was included in the rate, too. Be aware a double room has two separate beds only. It's located at walking distance from the water sports' center.

We booked this hotel through Active Hotels. I was a little apprenhensive but on arrival pleasantly surprised. The hotel is about 10 km from the centre of St. Moritz, but there is a bus service that runs very frequently and is very reasonable. The hotel is a two minute walk from the bus stop.
We were greeted by big smiles and warm welcomes. The stafff were absolutely wonderful and helpful. The accommodation is more than satisfactory for a short time period. The breakfast is plentiful (no hot buffet breakfast) and is sufficient to get you started for the day.
We are planning to return next year as the hotel is in close location to the night skiing at Corvatsch which tales place every Friday.
I would strongly recommend this hotel for short stays only.
