We traded through RCI. We knew nothing about Germany and only that the location was about an hour away from Munich. This place is in a great location in Bavaria and near lots to see and do. We took the train to Munich for Oktoberfest (you could drive, but parking is difficult in Munich). We drove all around the countryside and saw a castle, great churches, cities, and more. I loved Germany. The staff at the resort is really great and spoke English. They made great recommendations of things to do (definately go to the intro session the first night). Anything we didn't know we were able to ask them and they helped us including with train information. We had massages on site and they were fantastic and a good bargin. The restraunt on site has an English menu and serves a pretty good selection of food and great beer. We were in a one bedroom place and it was definately big enough for the two of us (four adults might have been a little tight with one bathroom, but kids probably would have been fine). We had a great view of the Bavaria forest from our room. The grocery store could have been walked to, but not much else around nearby. A rental car is really needed to enjoy the area. I think there was some bus transporation available, but a car seemed much better. Would also recommend a GPS for the car, it was extremely helpful. Located in small town with not much around, but major towns/cities not too far of a drive. Intenet was available at reception area for 1 euro per 10 minutes, it was down one day when we were there and not that fast, but adquent enough for checking in with family.
