Had a great night here, stayed in one of the suites which was spacious and with a very confortable bed. Dinner was fantastic, service even better. We'll return!

We chose the Saint Louis for an overnight stay following a recommendation from my parents who often stay there when travelling through France. The hotel is easy to find in the small town of Bollezeele, with on site parking and a short walk from the quiet town centre. Its no more than an 45 minutes from the Channel tunnel.

We reserved a superior room which was well sized, clean and comfortable. Dinner was excellent, my Partner asked for the vegetarian menu and was given a number of options - all of which sounded equally appetising, she chose the Sea Bass. Often in hotels and restaurants asking for the veggie option is seen as an inconvenience - not here, where even a vegetarian version of the between meal 'tasters' was provided. I had the seafood medley to start and quail as main - both our meals were very nice and accompanied with a good selection of wine. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, making our short stay enjoyable.

I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for good, comfortable accommodation with great food.

We have stayed here numerous times, probably going into double figures by now. It is a wonderful hotel with fantastic food and accommodating owners. Don't hesitate in booking a room and a wonderful meal here - you won't be disappointed.

I've stayed here many times in the past, the rooms are value for money, not the best but more than adequate, but I must admit an element of surprise that the beds in the suite did not have a headboard, not a major problem and the only fault I could find with our room. As always the welcome was great from the lady owner, who cannot do enough for you, a trully excellent hostess.
The restaurant and food was dissapointing, The normally elegant tables, seemed unprepared, no decoration, they resembled something from a french cafe rather than a fine restaurant, sadly not up to thier usual high standards, The food was the same, falling well short of what we have come to expect. Gone were the little touches that lifted this above most of the other restaurants in the pas-de -calais region. The food was average at best, something I thoght I would never say about the Hostellerie St Louis.
I hope this was a one off, as I have eaten some wonderfull meals here, maybe wrong night, staff shortages or one of a myriad of other possible reasons. Having recommended this hotel to many of my friends I hope this is the case, as on this experience I would not advise eating here as much better meals could be found elsewhere.
I still look forward to my next visit (if they let me in) but if no improvment on this trip sadly it will be my last
