We stood there for 4 nights and it is a realy good alternative if you are looking for a good hotel nearby the city of Malaga which is some 50 km from there. The whole setup is just lovely and the lake is making you feel good. (even it is forbidden to swim in it)
You should really go for a sea view room. The rooms are really nice especially the bathroom decoration. A thing to change is to my mind that the hotel should clearly point out that only one of the only two suites they have is facing the lake. My asumption was that the best rooms of a hotel should be best located as well and so I was disapointed to stay in the backside suite. Therefore we changed the room into standard one with lake view. Breakfirst is good but not exceptionel. Anyhow I would truly recommend this hotel.

Perfect food, very modern, clean room, beautiful views. We went there with polish travel office Itaka and we had a rented car included - small one, which we changed easily through hotel paying 5 euro per day for bigger car. Reception servis - very nice people, helpfull in each case. Restaurant service - nice, but sometimes their jokes were "too nice", quite irronical. We took half board and I have to say, that I could eat there all the time, but only for one week. Menu is too small to use it for 2 weeks :) But tastes of each meal - mmmm )
Rooms - not to big but enough - we had middle category room - very modern, looks really new. What was not nice - king or quine size bed they have only in suite rooms - in other rooms there are are two separated beds on wheels which look like one big bed until you try to use it - all the time we had a hole between us :(
Air condition - old type - it was very hot outside and air conditioning couldn't handle it. And it is very loud - it's difficult to sleep in this noise.
Mini bar - was not cold - it hat room temperature, so drinks from it were warm :/

But the hotel is really beautiful, luxury, clean, look like new, towels are changed when you want it, sheets every 2 days.

We stayed with our 2 children in a 'Suite', which was perfect, a lot of space, great bathroom, reasonably priced. The service was discrete but very correct. There were not a lot people staying at the hotel at that time (easter holidays), it seemed sometimes we were the only guests, but still, we got al the service we could wish for.
The hotel looked very clean and was nicely decorated. A great place to relax and starting point for trips to the coast (which we didn't like that much) and to the mountains (Magnificent!). The food was not bad, but for us a bit to 'heavy'

We stayed in hotel vinuala on our honeymoon after getting married in mijas. As i have stated above the hotel is in a stunning location overlooking the mountains on one side and a beautfiul lake on the other.

When we checked in we were greeted by a nice friendly girl on reception and then made our way to the room firstly there is no lift until you get to the first floor so we had to carry very heavy cases up a flight of stairs.

When we got to the room it was clean but very small. The first night there we went to bed ealry and awoke with a staff member in our room and after calling reception to advise of this they advised that they were coming in because it was our honeymoon but we did not see or have anything left in our room to reflect this even though we were stayed for five nights.

As per the below members post there was no greeting in the morning just room number and all in all the staff were not friendly at all never really spoke to us and just felt like a little bit more of an effort could have been made here due to the reason we were having the stay here.

Finally the house ekeeping was not very good at all as referred to again by the below poster shaving foam was on the door of our bathroom when we arrived at it was still there when we left this was bright blue so was quite obxious to see it. Also towels were not changed each day and also rubbish was left and not put in bin and again dirty glasses left and not changed.

We feft like the hotel was a let down and quite dissapointed with our stay.
