Only ate at the hotel did not stay there. We chose from the snacks menu rather than the full menu but both were reasonably priced. The food was OK, not exceptional but not bad either.
The setting is beautiful, as other reviewers have commented, and the hotel grounds are well maintained. There is a shady terrace with adjacent garden where you can eat outside.
The service was very slow. We were not in a rush but it was irritating to have to go and find the waiter to order each course.
The communal areas of the hotel looked nice with tasteful Christmas decorations. There seemed to be quite a few British ex-pats lunching there.
A nice trip up from the coast for lunch or from Malaga on a sunny day.
