We had a lovely time here in early April. The room was very large with a fantastic shower. It was a great base for us to do some walking. We took half board and were well fed throughout our stay.

We were at the Hotel Bandolero for 10 days in May 2011, David and Ivan made us feel welcome in every sense of the word. The Hotel is clean and comfortable, the rooms spacious and well appointed. Each room opens onto the terrace and pool below. Every day Ivan treated us to a meal which seemed (impossibly) even better than the day before. The ambiance of the Hotel is enhanced by the profusion of beautiful flowers, and the songs of Ivan's birds, who sing along with any music which is playing. David knows the surrounding country side well, and can provide helpful information for enjoyable daily outings. The village of Juzcar is very scenic, quiet, and clean, and even though we did not speak much Spanish, we felt welcomed by the residents on our daily walks around the village.
Juzcar is easily accessed from Malaga Airport, and is in a mountainous valley of chestnut orchards; it is connected by woodland paths to other villages by hiking trails, as well as country roads, and is situated aboaut 30 minutes from the small city of Ronda

The service at Hotel Bandolero was exceptional. David was a wonderful host and very knowledgeable of the area. Ivan is a first class chef and totally outdid himself with our meals. The staff were friendly and very well versed in the ability to make strangers feel welcome.
My room was large, airy and doors opening onto a beautiful terrace with a lovely view of the village and mountains.
The location of the hotel is a bit remote, and quiet, with a nice pub, serving guests, travelers, and locals. Hotel Bandolero has their own wine label , and it is a lovely little vintage. The village is small and completely walkable to explore. The surrounding countryside is stunning.
Only about 20 minutes from the town of Ronda, one can shop, explore, and eat at some great restaurants, and enjoy local tapas.

We stayed 4 days in Hotel Bandolero and the longer we stayed, the longer we wanted to stay!
