As most of the other reviewers already mentioned, this hotel is perfectly located for a stopover on the way to the Alpes or Italy.
It is a cheap hotel (although don't forget to add the breakfast costs, not included). Our room did not have airconditioning, which we missed on an extremely hot day.
Staff is very welcoming and professional. They speak English.
Rooms were quiet.
Breakfast buffet was adequate without frills.

We stopped here on the way to Italy and were very pleased with the overall standard of the facilities and the size, cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. Very good value for money.
The one drawback was that there is only one place to eat -the restaurant attached to the hotel. On the night we arrived it was serving some form of fish with ratatouille - the smell alone made us exit very sharply. However, Ottmarsheim was closed (there are bars and restaurants but there were all closed at 8pm on Friday night????) so we went hungry but made up for it at the excellent breakfast the next morning.
Would stop here again.

No luxury but everything you need for a good price.
Rooms are clean, the shower is working properly, the breakfast has quite a good choice for a 2 star.

Whe stayed at Als hotel for one night when we came back from Italy and were onroute to Belgium.
The hotel is perfectly located just 5 to 10 min away from the highway from Germany to Belgium.
The hotel receptionist was very friendly and check-in went very smooth and quickly. Room was standard in size and had the basic things that you need. Bathroom was clean and sufficient. We payed about 10 euro per person extra for the breakfast buffet, wich was very good! The hotel also has WIFI for just 1 euro a day!
Overall a good and clean hotel to stay when on route to or from Italy by car.
