Choose this hotel primary due to price and close proximity to lucern without having to sell a kidney.
5 mins walk from train station takes another 5-10 mins to get into the central station which was excellent. Check in guy was helpful. Hotel has ample parking. Also. Has a reastuarant which we did not use.
Now the bad points
Breakfast very sparse
Maid burst in by error x2 in the morning. Yep thats right
No ac in the room we were staying in. Now in the summer when we stayed this resulted in zero sleep. Even with the window wide open it wasnt fun. Its on a main road with a lot of trucks throughout the night so with window wide open equals lots of road noise. Noone mans reception after 11pm so no one to ask if you need something e.g a fan.
We had a very poor experience here and would not stay again.

Just one stop away from fantastic Luzern in Switzerland by train. This hotel in the village of Litau is very modern clean and comfortable.
The room was huge with two comfortable beds and a very modern bathroom with a fantastic power shower. The views of the mountains out of the window were a great bonus. All areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and very modern (the lights came on automatic as you passed from room to room)
A buffet continental breakfast was included in the price, a good selection of cereal, hams and cheeses on offer plus, juice, various breads and coffee.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel also has a resturant (which we didn't use due to not getting back each night until midnight) and a bar.
Located just 5 minutes level walk from Littau railway station which has an hourly service (half hourly peak times) from Luzern and only takes five minutes. Trains run from 0530-0013.
You can come and go as you please having been given a door card for access at all hours.
We had a lovely stay. If you want to visit the fantatic area of Luzern in Switzerland, want a good hotel but not at over the top prices, I would highly recomend this hotel. The only downside being that its located on a busyish road which if you are a light sleeper may cause problems, however most hotels are and its something you get used to.
Yes its not in Luzern its self, but the price reflects this, the trains run a great service early to late and only take 5 minutes.
Would definately stay here again
