what a fantastic week we had here. From the time we arrived at reception the staff were very helpful and so friendly every time you even passed reception they acknowledged you . The food was great plenty of choice and once again staff friendly and very pleasant there is beer, wine,juices and water for the A/I you just have to help yourself. Pool area - plenty of sunbeds and always something going on although you are never pressured to join in and there is another pool higher up which is quieter. The rooms are clean and big enough plenty of storage . There is a bus which will take you down to the beach or round to Mogan although if you miss it coming back it is quite a hike up the hill .We went to P/RICO a couple of nights taxi back for the 2 of us was 14 euros which I though was a good price . The shows in the hotel at night were varied and good as hotel shows can be .Would certainly recommend if you want a quiet and relaxing holiday , but still a taxi ride away for a coulpe of nights on the town.

“Good Hotel - don't be put off”

Just back & was also apprehensive having read the reviews after booking late. The hotel was spotless, staff very pleasant, views great, food was repetitive but fine for a week, toaster takes 3 runs to brown the bread, not 7! The location is at the top of the hill & the pavement down has gaping holes were the street lights should be, the walk down took 10 mins (20 back up) to the r/about where you can pick up one of the excellent buses to Mogan or Amadores 2.80 euros for 2 one way. Taurito has nothing much to offer though we did check out all the other hotels spent 1/2 day in the Taurito Princess (it gets the sun 1st, sun hits M.P @ 11am) only 1 looked newer than the M.P. The Mini Disco was same old same old but its not compulsory to sit through this - its for kids. The adult shows could have started earlier than 10pm, though I assume they do this to allow late diners to finish - could not fault these shows all professional as opposed to the usual "in house entertainment" Found lifts out on 2 occasions but as they are at each end of the blocks + stairs/ramps, was not to inconvenient, quickly back in service, as a non smoker, did not detect any. Few groups of Euro visitors & like most holidaying groups of 6+ did get rowdy thought not offensive by any means. Perhaps not the location for people with children/buggy but the walk is easy on the road.Thomas Cook usual charter flight with little leg room & for the first time didn't take the in-flight meal. Would use the hotel again but not this resort.

Room Tip: Try for block 3 and floor 4 - then you've no one above you - we had 3306 which was ideal

“Beautiful hotel with views and great entertainment. Taxis, buses or long walks to get anywhere.”

This is a beautiful hotel on the very top of a cliff offering excellent views of the beach and Taurito below. On the flip side due to the location you really need to catch the courtesey bus of get a taxi which costs €6 to get to Taurito or Mogan which are well worth a visit. Dont let this put you off. There are 2 decent sized pools, lovely bar and restaurant etc and the Animacion here is excellent. My boyfriend and I participated in pool tournaments, skittles and shuffleboard which were good fun during the day. I would definately not recommend this resort to wheelchair users or people with pushchairs.

“Was Great but Not Now”

Just arrived back from this hotel having visited 5 times in as many years, points to note;
1. Food – since last year’s visit the choice/variety has severely reduced, even after Day2 we got bored and our accommodation was only on a Half Board basis!
2. Selection of lifts out of service for the duration of our 7 night stay (if you have stayed at this hotel then you’ll appreciate that the lifts are a god send)!
3. Guests now seem to adopt a smoking culture in the lifts (even though this is not permitted as per signage) great! when you have just showered got dressed for dinner and enter the lift!
4. There seems to be an explosion of Polish guests now, I have nothing against Polish people, I work with them all the time but these guys do seems to take FULL advantage the ‘all inclusive’ in getting total hammered!
5. Entertainment – Adult (I don’t mean truly ‘adult) entertainment doesn’t start until 10pm (sometimes 11pm) which we felt was far too late, especially as dinner finishes at 9pm meaning you have to endure the god awful ‘mini disco’ (BIRDIE SONG) for sometime.

In summary – next year we are going to try the Hotel LTI Paradise Valle Taurito directly opposite the Mogan Princess, we had a coffee in there and it seem light years ahead of the Princess….for the same money

“Refuge For Mountain Goats ?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

Staying at the Mogan Princess was easily the worst holiday experience of my life for the following reasons;
When we arrived we were dismayed to discover that our room did not have a balcony, rather a tiny patio directly open to public space ! When we tried to change rooms we were told twice that this was no other rooms available in spite that the hotel did not seem anywhere near full.
The walls of the rooms were very thin so there was a lot of noise from other rooms, so an overall feeling of lack of privacy prevailed.

Food was very bland with little variation in the fare, just as well we went all inclusive as self catering and half board guests were being charged extortionate prices for second rate fare.
There was only one bar available in the daytime,by the pool. In the evening the salon bar had music and live entertainment which was deafeningly loud making conversation challenging to say the least. A party of 6 of us asked for the music to turned down, alas to no avail.

The worst aspect of this hotel however is the ghastly location. Admittedly the view is spectacular, but perched high above the resort, the hotel can only be accessed by a long steep road down to the main roundabout and then a walk back in the opposite direction to the beach and other (much better) hotels.
The footpath along is in a disgraceful state of repair, unlit, full of pot holes and assorted hazards so it was safer to walk on the road ( be aware of traffic!

The swimming pool is quite nice but that is really the only good thing I can say about this hotel. We only stayed a week thank goodness, and that was too long
If you want a relaxing stress free holiday, DONT go to the Mogan Princess.

Room Tip: When you book dont assume you will get a balcony, make sure. Better still, choose another hotel.
