“Dirty, small and old”

I also was on an EF Tours trip, though at a later time than the last reviewer. I found the hotel to be below expectations. The worst thing was the terrible mosquito problem. They were swarming everywhere. The lights in the hotel were on a timer and would go off in the hallway every 3-4 minutes, even if you were standing there talking. You'd have to hit the switch to turn them back on. The rooms were impossibly small and the linens were very old and seemed dirty. Our bathroom was possibly a handicapped one, since the shower was not separated by anything on the floor (Water drained into a drain there, in the process getting the whole floor wet). Inadequate number of outlets too, and AC was optional for an extra fee. All in all, it felt like I was staying in an old grandmother's rundown home and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I went here with a group from EF Tours, and therefore had no choice in where we stayed, so I didn't know what to expect. When we got here, I was pleasantly surprised. The place is small, but quaint, and the people were very nice to us. We ate dinner with our tour group 2 nights at the hotel, and the food was good, as was the service. The room was small, but clean. We had air conditioning, and even though we couldn't get it to blow super cold air like we are used to in the USA, it was still comfortable sleeping here at night. There was a bar in the hotel and they were open until 1-2am. Breakfast in the mornings was excellent and more than I expected, as Italians are not known for their breakfast.

Overall, I'm happy we stayed here and would recommend this hotel to others traveling in this area of Italy.
