“Fabulous base for skiing in the Aosta Valley”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 March 2010

The winter reviews for this hotel had little mention of the skiing, which was a little disconcerting when making the booking - as this was my primary reason for travel, though I was also looking for somewhere a bit special. Anyway, I need not have worried - everything turned out fabulously. The hotel is beautiful, we had a gorgeous suite, with a view of Mont Blanc (clouds permitting), the spa, its grotto and treatments was sensational - and the food was also superlative. The hotel run a shuttle to Courmayeur, but we chose to drive - which was easy, with good parking just below the cable car. We also skiied in La Thuile, and would have gone to Pila had time allowed. All stations within easy drive distance. So a typical day started with a delicious breakfast, then off for a hard day on the piste, and return back for tea & cakes, followed by a soak in our own private hot tub watching the sunset, topped off by some wonderful Italian cuisine - bliss.

“Utterly wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2009

This was my second visit to the Mont Blanc Village and I was not let down. The hotel is wonderfully located and the facilities are second to none. For a vain and food loving woman you couldn't ask for more with the delicious food and the amazing spa and grottos. Our room was immaculate and the staff were tremendous, even sorting out and collecting some vital medication for my husband that was not included by his pharmacist. I am almost reluctant to recommend it as I don't want it overbooked on my next stay!

“Amazing in ever respect.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2009

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of a ski week at Courmayeur and had the most amazing time. The hotel is beautifully decorated, in an intimate, warm, homely way and the views are spectacular. We rated our meals in the restaurant as some of the best we have ever had and the spa facilities were excellent too. What really made the stay special though, was the amazing service that was given from everyone in the hotel. The front desk, waiters, bar staff, spa managers and everyone else we had dealings with, were all friendly and helpful and charming. They all were genuinely keen on making our stay with them as lovely as possible. Even after we had checked out in the afternoon and had a 2 hour wait for our airport transfer, we were actively encouraged to go and use the spa facilities to "ensure we were relaxed and refreshed" for our flight. We can't recommend this hotel highly enough and its only a few minutes down the road from the Courmayeur ski lifts. We wished we had stayed there for the entire trip and will certainly be headed back in the future. A very romantic for a nice weekend away in a stunning part of the world. A Gem!

“What a pleasure; lovely hotel, great staff, magnificent scenery (pet friendly)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2008

My wife and I stayed for three nights beginning Aug 4, 2008 and we loved everything about this beautiful gem of a hotel. The hotel sits in the valley below Monte Bianco (Mont Blanc) and offers a breathtaking view of the majestic Alps. The rooms are a perfect expression of Italian alpine sensibilities, with terracotta floors lightly frescoed walls and warm, antique accent furniture. But it is a modern hotel in every way, including high speed internet connections in the rooms, flat screen, pivoting TVs, large modern bathrooms with rain shower-heads, luxurious bath lotions, robes, etc. The hotel also offers a full spa, massage center and much more. If you're not into the spa scene, the Mont Blanc has an outdoor pool, jacuzzi, tennis and, oh yeah, the view. We used the hotel as a jumping off point for several day trips into the Alps. Within minutes, you can drive up a winding mountain road to 2000 feet with vistas you can only dream of otherwise. In summer, the cool mountain air and glacial lakes surrounded by an infinite array of colorful flowers was an unexpected treat. The room service was professional and the hotel staff was warm and smiling and eager to help with anything you desired. What a pleasure! We can't wait to go back and we're adding two more trips there as soon as we can, this winter and next May. It was a real treat. Worth every cent, and more.
