great bartender, kind helpful staff, amazing breakfast (best we ever had), great views, not too far from the slopes, super spa facilities, and a fabulous michelin star dining experience at completely reasonable prices, we would definitely go back

The small village of La Salle, in Val d’Aosta, Italy, is home to an intimate, and very charming, hotel nestled snugly in the gentle curves of the Italian Alps. A romantic retreat, Mont Blanc Hotel Village provides amazing views from the windows, patios and balconies of every one of the hotel’s 40 rooms. Great restaurants and a cozy lounge, a unique “grotto” spa, warm and friendly service, once you arrive you may never want to leave the property! The peaks and valleys of the Italian Alps define the horizon, and the snowy cap of famed Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Western Europe is the crowning glory. Fondly referred to as “The White Lady” it is a beautiful sight in summer or winter.his alpine gem is solidly built for it’s presence in this mountainous region, but it has incorporated the grace of traditional Italian wood and rugged stone with the latest in modern conveniences and technology. The Hotel’s 75sqm ultimate “Mont Blanc Suite” invites you out onto the terrace facing the stunning White Lady herself, and comes complete with its own heated......

The location is above the valley, sunny, great view and quiet. It's a resort type hotel, high standard with a country design. Outside the hotel you need a car, there is no village in walking distance. Staff is friendly and does everything to your satisfaction. We asked to change the room, which was no problem. We can recommend room Nr. 55 . One night, we were the only guests in the hotel. The food in the Restaurant is of good quality but expensive and little choices. Breakfast buffet is very good. Parking is free. Overall, the hotel is in good shape and has a good quality and service. If you need a good bed and a quiet place, you have to go to this hotel. We will be back.
as many reviewers have indicated, the setting of and views from this inn are outstanding. the room was clean and well appointed with a large terrace great for taking advantage of the views. service was very good except for one tall young man who seemed less-than-charming. breakfasts (included in the room rate) were outstanding. but dinner was a huge disappointment. service and atmosphere in the restaurant were fine. the problem was with taste: combinations of flavors and ingredients that just didn't work. the chef's affection for acid needs serious tempering. for example, a beef filet cooked in a salt crust came to the table looking as appetizing as a piece of meat can be. but the sauce was so tart that it destroyed the meal (had there been no sauce at all it would have been excellent). i'm amazed that this restaurant recently acquired a michelin star. since we visited in may when the hotel only had a few guests, it's possible that the main chef was out of the kitchen. if not, michelin's star should be withdrawn.
