The location is above the valley, sunny, great view and quiet. It's a resort type hotel, high standard with a country design. Outside the hotel you need a car, there is no village in walking distance. Staff is friendly and does everything to your satisfaction. We asked to change the room, which was no problem. We can recommend room Nr. 55 . One night, we were the only guests in the hotel. The food in the Restaurant is of good quality but expensive and little choices. Breakfast buffet is very good. Parking is free. Overall, the hotel is in good shape and has a good quality and service. If you need a good bed and a quiet place, you have to go to this hotel. We will be back.

Ambiance montagnarde, accueil chaleureux, le personnel parle très bien français. Le spa est pas mal.
La chambre standard est très correcte. Nous avons pris un risotto au room service : bon mais avec un goût de trop peu.
La tv ne fonctionnait pas, réparation ds la chambre à 21h....
Très jolie terrasse privée, vue superbe, confort très bien, mais le 5* est peut-être un peu too much : 4* iraient mieux.
Le village est charmant.

as many reviewers have indicated, the setting of and views from this inn are outstanding. the room was clean and well appointed with a large terrace great for taking advantage of the views. service was very good except for one tall young man who seemed less-than-charming. breakfasts (included in the room rate) were outstanding. but dinner was a huge disappointment. service and atmosphere in the restaurant were fine. the problem was with taste: combinations of flavors and ingredients that just didn't work. the chef's affection for acid needs serious tempering. for example, a beef filet cooked in a salt crust came to the table looking as appetizing as a piece of meat can be. but the sauce was so tart that it destroyed the meal (had there been no sauce at all it would have been excellent). i'm amazed that this restaurant recently acquired a michelin star. since we visited in may when the hotel only had a few guests, it's possible that the main chef was out of the kitchen. if not, michelin's star should be withdrawn.

The winter reviews for this hotel had little mention of the skiing, which was a little disconcerting when making the booking - as this was my primary reason for travel, though I was also looking for somewhere a bit special. Anyway, I need not have worried - everything turned out fabulously. The hotel is beautiful, we had a gorgeous suite, with a view of Mont Blanc (clouds permitting), the spa, its grotto and treatments was sensational - and the food was also superlative. The hotel run a shuttle to Courmayeur, but we chose to drive - which was easy, with good parking just below the cable car. We also skiied in La Thuile, and would have gone to Pila had time allowed. All stations within easy drive distance. So a typical day started with a delicious breakfast, then off for a hard day on the piste, and return back for tea & cakes, followed by a soak in our own private hot tub watching the sunset, topped off by some wonderful Italian cuisine - bliss.
