Stayed here for four days in August. The hotel is very new (opened in 2007) located ten minutes walk from Gyenesdiás lake Balaton waterfront/activity centre, five mins walk from Gyenesdiás train station (hourly trains to Keszthely) & linked by easy cycle paths to Keszthely & Hévíz (Themal lake). Facilities include large indoor & outdoor swimming pools, Jacuzzi, saunas (both Finnish and infrared), fitness room, BBQ area, Volleyball, Mini-Golf & Table Tennis.
The restaurant is buffet-style (& relatively basic) & the bar closes at 10pm.
My wife & I stayed in one of the most expensive rooms with half-board, which had airconditioning a TV, mini-bar & balcony. Main feedback was that communicating in English was very difficult, German & Hungarian are the main languages. There was only one iron in the hotel & no ironing board (although the staff did iron my shirt for the wedding as a favour). The food was basic. The decor in the rooms (orange & yellow) wasn't really to our taste, but this is clearly one of the best hotels in an area dominated mainly by camp-sites. Great for families with children.
