Yes... that's correct words fail us to adequately describe just how good this place is.
Every possible detail is absolutely first rate. Wonderfully welcoming proprietors who's attention to detail is simply the best we have ever experienced at home or abroad. Excellent... location, period ambiance, cleanliness, rooms, food, beds and value for money. We would rate Culgower House as the best accommodation we have ever stayed at. Highly recommended.

A warm welcome in this beautifully restored Victorian house, sitting by the sea in lovely countryside. The subdued decor is conducive to relaxation, and after an excellent light evening meal we slept like logs in the very comfortable bedroom. Breakfast was a very substantial affair cooked to order, and but for the fact that were booked on the Orkney ferry we would very happily have stayed longer

A most interesting extra is the owners' interest in energy generation and conservation, and the garden has an unobtrusive photo-voltaic panel which produces sufficient current to allow a contribution to the national grid. Fascinating, and John offers courses on the subject. Something for the future, all going well.

A beautiful house and setting, magnificent room, sincere and homely welcome with tea and home made shortbread. The comfiest bed we have ever slept in and breakfasts to die for. If you think this review is a little over the top, then you have to stay here to know that we can't say enough good things about it. Very possibly the best place we have ever stayed in over 15 years of holidaying in England and Scotland. We will most certainly be back. We loved it so much we have sent them a little thank you gift. Please add Culgower House to your list of very possibles, you won't be disappointed, we promise.
