Myself and my husband have just returned from a two night stay at The Eiders and it was without doubt one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in, and we've stayed in quite a few, up and down the UK.
We were greeted very warmly on arrival, shown to our room, given a quick tour of where things we might need are located and then offered tea and cake, which was a lovely touch. The room itself was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and contained everything you would expect and more. A flat screen TV with sky freeview channels, good selection of tea, coffee and biscuits, bottles of still water, a small fridge and even a wind up torch to take out in the evening if you walk across the road to eat in the pub (which is also recommended - the food was very nice quality, with a good array of specials).
The breakfast was superb - you make your selection from either full english, low fat english, vegetarian, continental, smoked salmon or smoked haddock the night before and there's also a very good choice of muffins, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit and juices.
The setting is lovely - there's a duck pond and very well kept gardens with a decked area to sit on - there's also a good size swimming pool (outdoor, so you do need reasonable weather) and all in all, this B&B cannot be faulted.
Will definitely stay again if we're in this area.
