Really nice way to break a very long journey from Edinburgh to Cornwall.
Room was bright, comfortable & clean, and unlike more expensive hotels we have stayed in recently, the child bed made up and waiting for our very tired daughter on arrival. Loved looking over the cricket pitch and had a lovely stroll through the pretty village to let us stretch our legs.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful, and receptionist seemed genuinely concerned when I tripped over my husbands luggage, not a smirk in site, even though I must have looked like an absolute idiot
More teapots need for breakfast, but apart from that tiny little complaint, thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay.
PS Thought I'd already left a review but when getting ready to book our next stay noticed I hadnt, which wasnt fair, as I'm quick enough to complain, if I don't like something.

Stayed here for two nights in January 2012 either side of a visit to Slimbridge WWT which is a pleasant twenty minute drive away. Nice friendly reception staff, good size room with a nice view over the cricket pitch. Massive bed, clean and comfortable room. Only minor grumble is the room was a touch on the cool side and although you can turn the temperature up it didn't seem to make a lot of difference. Ate in the next door Ship Inn both days for breakfast and dinner, hard working friendly staff enoyed our meals and the usual generous PI breakfast.

We only stayed one night but it couldn't have been better really. Friendly staff, clean, well equipped room, nice breakfast, reasonable price. Can't think of a reason to stay somewhere more expensive - pretty much perfect for what we wanted.

I'm always happy with premier inn and Alveston is no exception. Clean spacious rooms, comfortable beds, good shower, bathroom and bedroom in good decorative order - not tired or scruffy. All in all very good value for money. We had lovely meals - breakfast and dinner at the Ship. Staff at both the premier inn and the Ship were very friendly, curteous and helpful. We paid half the price here than we have at other inns/b&bs in bristol for even better comfort and service, we will defibnately be back. Thank you Alveston.
