Jaladhama resort is in a good location. Ideal for a weekend getaway. But the place is badly managed and maintained. The local staff are from nearby villages and are kind and courteous but are not properly trained. Language can be a major barrier if you don't know Kannada.
Food is good. I have a sensitive stomach, and can vouch for the quality of the food.

The place lacks proper maintenance, and every thing looks a bit run down. The doors do not close properly, taps leak, floor tiles are broken, etc. The place is not cleaned properly and waste is not disposed properly either - causing some areas of the resort to stink.

The place is infested with mosquitoes & bugs of every kind. So be prepared & carry insect repellents.

In general the management of the resort needs to improve a lot. There is local staff - mostly villagers who have no idea on how to maintain a resort. A lone manager fails to fix the problems.

With all the short comings of the place, the resort fails to provide value for money.

The hospitality what they give is so poor. In fact food what we get on road side is much better than what we get here. It's totally waste of travelling 130 kms. Instead of that there is "Hill View Resort" which is very much near to Bangalore and everything was fine compared to all aspects what Jaladhama Resort gave.

we had gone for a department outing from our company. The rate for 1 day outing i felt is too expensive and also 130kms from Bangalore. also no breakfast included only lunch and snacks !! for 850rs. and after going there all the money had to paid immediately for 100 people and there was no resort manager to take care of us. Food was also average. no proper changing room given for ladies a toilet was given and told taht is the changing room also... Overall i would say there are better resorts near bangalore and less expensive with better quality... why should anyone travel 130kms for this ?

When we started the trip..right from the boat ride to the island..everything seemed perfect and was happy for the choice made.
The rooms, location are really good (Dont expect luxury)
Swarms of mosquitoes and average buffet lunch were -ve aspect.
Place lacks proper maintenance, would not recommend for family outings.
I paid 2800 INR per person and it looked quite pricey and did not provide value for money.
