The service was excellent the staff were quiet to start with but became more communicative as the stay progressed.
The room was excellent, we had a view of the cable car and mountain from the balcony, this was a front room, I can't speak for the back rooms view. They were kept spotlessly clean. The corridors were decorated with needlepoint work by the staff to a very high standard.
The location was perfect for access to the cable car and so the mountain and there was an excellent road to other towns. The food was good with options including local dishes - in fact every night there were customers from the nearby paradore who said the food was better, and cheaper at the Rebeco. There were few cafe's nearby except at the foot and head of the cable car, but the drinks at the bar were reasonably priced and generous.
The whole experience was enjoyable, despite a National strike closing the cable car one day, but with your own transport there were some interesting villages and tourist facilities to visit. There appeared to be no local transport, but this could have been a reflection of the situation, but would have made some of the walking routes mor convenient.

just had a 4 night stay at the Rebeco hotel and we thouroughly enjoyed it. It is in a beautiful setting in the middle of the picos national park. The actual hotel has character with some rooms complete with balconies overlooking the Fuente de cable car and mountains on the opposite side of the valley. The rooms/hotel are very clean and tidy and the staff work very hard to provide an excellent service to customers. The evening meals are typical of the region and are superb at reasonable cost. ( in fact many customers from the Parador hotel opposite preferred to eat at the rebeco on an evening). If we had to find a criticism it would be that the breakfasts could be better. WARNING, DUE TO THE LOCATION IF YOU ARE NOT A WALKING ENTHUSIAST THIS AREA IS NOT FOR YOU.
Overall a very good hotel.

There are only 3 things in Fuente Dé: the Parador, the cable station and Hotel El Rebeco. Fuente Dé has breathtaking views over the mountains, and in the top cable station there are several paths than can be walked.

Nice looking 2 * mountain hotel, the rooms are basic but pleasant and very clean, and I was fortunate to get one with a wood balcony facing the mountains. Nice old-fashioned decoration.

Service is professional but not friendly at all. There are 2 ladies that seem not to enjoy their work. This is now not a “family run hotel”.

In the restaurant, the day menu is advertised (perhaps this is mandatory !?) but you are looked down if you chose it: you have to keep the forks between the starter and the main dish, and an orange was served as desert un-peeled.

Breakfast was disappointing, one piece of bread and 2 wrapped cakes. Endless tea or coffee ? Maybe some time ago, not now !

Stayed for 3 nights b and b. Room very basic, but spotlessly clean, bathroom basic, but again really clean and plenty of hot water. There is only one mirror in the bathroom. The breakfast is very basic, bread, cakes and jam, coffee. The evening meals were fine, some nice meat dishes, and fresh salads.
There is nothing in Fuente De apart from the 2 hotels, and during the day the cable car station - so stock up before arriving. The scenery is fantastic and the walking demanding but great views.
The staff are fantastic, friendly and helpful, and very welcoming. They make the stay very pleasant.
