We spent one weekend (one night) here searching for something different, looking for a relaxing weekend in a beautiful landscape. We certainly got it!
The hotel is really nice and since there you can enjoy beautiful Taramundi village. We enjoyed the sauna and a dinner and breakfast and we cannot complain at all. The "casona" also has a living room with bar and table games and a small library room where you can enjoy the chimney with a magazine or a book. In general, all the furniture is exquisite.
Staff is really nice and gave us a lot of information, times and maps to visit small museums around.
We arrived here with the car, i wont do it without one as you are visiting a mountain place. I think Taramundi is a good place to spend a weekend or to begin your travel around Asturias region.

“Really wonderful hotel”
This one was a real surprise but was one of the nicest hotels of our two week trip. The building is an old rectory, very atmospheric, with large comfortable rooms. The location is just stupendous with a large bar/ terrace overlooking the beautiful valley. Every night we ate in the hotel sitting on the little restaurant terrace watching the sun setting and the lights burning in the villages and the eagles circling. Every morning we watched the mist disperse as the sun rose. The food seemed to be the best around. Taramundi is still a best kept secret - not many tourists, but it is was a memorable place to stay , especially the ethnographic museum .
