All the rooms are different. We stayed in La Cámara, a sort of duplex room. On the ground floor is a sitting room with TV, a fridge and microwave and the bathroom. The bedroom is upstairs - beware of the very low beams - you could knock yourself out if you got up in a hurry, but it was great fun. Everything was very clean.
There were plenty of areas to sit and relax if you didn't want to be in your room and also an outside terrace, if the weather is good
The staff were extremely helpful in explaining the hotel to us and also recommending an excellent restaurant just down the road. The owner served us our breakfast and nothing was too much trouble for her.
Parking is off the street and secure.
We would definitely stay there again. The only problem would be knowing which room to book as they are all different.
Consuegra would be a great base for exploring Don Quijote country

We stayed at this hotel while travelling from Madrid to Barcelona. This is a great family establishment in the old style. Big shuttered rooms with high ceilings. Comfortable furniture. Big beds. Rooms are air conditioned and have a bar fridge. Large ensuite bathrooms with shower over bath. Internet connection is available, just ask for a network cable at reception. A big breakfast is available in the dining room at reasonable rates. Evening meals were not available as this was the low season, but there are plenty of resturants in the town just a short walk away. Free car parking in the street outside or secure under cover parking also free in the hotel's lock up yard at the end of the streeet.
Very friendly and helpfull staff. Highly recommended for a relaxing few days in rural Spain.

Charming hotel and friendly staff, full of helpful and enthusiastic commentary on where to dine and how to navigate about town. Good carpark, great breakie, cosy rooms. Highly recommended.

We looked for a hotel and place to visit for one day and night before heading back up to Madrid for our flight home, and came across Consuegra and this hotel on TripAdvisor. Both the little town of Consuegra and this hotel are absolutely wonderful and worth visiting while in Spain. We had a little trouble finding Hotel Rural and when we did we were not sure what to expect until they unlocked the door and let us in (it was very late at night when we arrived). The hotel is really lovely. They gave us a little suite for our family of four that was very comfortable. The decor was really stylish and comfortable. We had a great breakfast that was very reasonable in price before setting off to explore Consuegra. The windmills and old, Roman castle are beautiful. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly as were the people we met in town.
