This is the second time i have stayed in Williams. The first time was over ten years ago. Back then, yes it was a bit run down and needed a lot of work but this time there was some major improvements!

The rooms are very basic and are pretty clean (bearing in mind this is India). The bathrooms have hot water, a shower and a standard western toilet. The rooms are cleaned every morning, including fresh sheets, new toiletries and rubbish removal. The pool is also cleaned daily and is usually pretty quiet.

The food in the restaurant was well cooked and reasonably priced. The bar is open late and usually has plenty of characters providing good chat. The staff are always very friendly and happy to help. The hotel also features a back-up generator that kicks in during any power cuts. There is also has a very friendly security guard on patrol 24/7.

The best bit about this hotel has to be the location! It takes less than 5 minutes to walk along the main street, past all the local shops and restaurants, to get to the beach.

If your staying in Colva i would highly recommend you ignore all the previous bad reviews and check it out for yourself! I assume the previous reviewers were expecting high UK standards.... but this is INDIA!

Overall we had a fantastic time in Williams and will be recommending it to all!

I and my boyfriend stayed in Williams for one day and no more. We chose this hotel because lonely planet recommended for Colva beach. In the book it was actually mentioned that this hotel is somewhat like you would see in the old porn and they were not wrong about that!

Floor of the room was absolutely disgusting and overall room was dark and just depressing. Pool looked green so I didn't even try to get near to it. I've stayed in some not-so-nice hotels in India but this was one of the worst.

After staying the previous week in Calangute, this hotel was a treat, situated in the middle of Colva we experienced no noise. The staff were very friendly even though a little slow at removing old glasses from around the pool area. The pool was cleaned daily and was most enjoyable at the end of the day. We didn't eat in the Restauant but heard from other guests is was good. The room is a basic 2 star indian hotel, however our stay was enjoyable apart from the cockeral at 5am (earplugs recommended)
