Location is great. Spent sometime in balcony enjoying the sea views. Room and bathroom large. Negatives in room : Bathroom full of hair and very uncomfortable pillows. Room next to lift extremely noisy.
Front Desk staff need training on customer service-lacks warmth. Coffee at breakfast very good and all items where fresh. We enoyed alicante for its great tapas and amazng wine.

We spent 5 nights at this hotel. The location is great for access to the centre of Alicante, the hotel very clean, the breakfast really good and the service from the staff of a high standard.
However, this hotel is not really suitable if you are after a restful break in the sun.
Unlees you pay an additional charge of 9 euros for the use of some of the leisure facilities there is nowhere in the hotel where you can sit by a pool and enjoy the sun.
There are no areas within the hotel just to sit in the sun and we either had to sit outside or wait for the afternoon sun to sit on our balcony.

Just got back from a short break at the Suites Del Mar. Arrived just before midday
on my birthday. Requested on email if our room could be ready, instead of 16.00, yes it was!!!!. Martinez from the cafe came to our Junior Suite with a small complimentary bottle of wine to welcome us on my birthday. Organised, on request tea-making facilities. Explained that we had brought our own tea. Nothing too much trouble for this lady.Everything from front desk, breakfast, cafe and leisure faciliities superb, The room 327 was fabulous, great shower in the bedroom and seperate jacuzzi bath and toilet. book this and do not be disappointed.

Stayed here for 6 nights end of August 2011. Great location. We had a triple room for myself, husband and my mum. Room reasonable size, clean and comfortable, had a sea view which was a lovely bonus and would recommend it. Breakfast was very good. Prior to booking this hotel we read some reviews with regard to unhelpful staff, I have to say we did not find this at all, the staff were friendly and helpful this includes the front desk, waiters and cleaners. We had an evening flight; hotel had the facility for storing suitcases, also a complimentary shower and towel are offered to freshen up prior to leaving for the airport which was a great bonus. All in all a lovely holiday.
