Hotel with a lot of parking places, therefore we choosed this hotel for two night stay. It has nice pool in hotel garden hidden from the street. Beach and restaurants are in few minutes walking distance. We were lucky, because 23rd of June thousands of eople were celebrating fiesta San Juan on the beach, made fire in hundreds of places and had fun. Amazing view and positive memories!

The hotel is near the beach and is a great place for sun worshipers.
Previous reviews have described it as difficult to find but we followed the clear directions and got to the property first time.
Our rooms were of a decent size and everthing seemed clean.
We only had two minor issues - the air conditioning is not the best in or most efficient in the world and the spa bubbles in the pool/jacuzzi did not work and according to a staff member have not worked for the whole season !
Some lovely little restaurants on the beach seafront which is only a short walk away.

Had our yearly stay at the Holiday Inn Playa de San Juan. Fantastic staff.. a big hello to Domingo and his team. Rooms are large with fridge and air con with daily maid service.
Food tasty and reasonably priced for bar meals.

Pool is large but never crowded, nor is it too dificult to get a free lounger,there is a pool bar selling drinks and hot snacks if needed. The centre of San Juan is a 10 min stroll away as is the fantastic beach.

This is a business hotel but has many many tourists visiting, there are English people but mainly Spanish in August.

We had a problem when we arrived in that we had booked two rooms with the request that they be non smoking and together. The rooms that we were shown to where not like the rooms advertised on the website, they were small and they were not together and one of them smelled really badly of cigarette smoke. I wanted to change to another hotel straight away, however the manager assured us that we would be moved the next day. They handled the situation really well and the next day we were moved. The rooms were a lot nicer and they were together. We stayed at the hotel for eight days, our kids are 11 and 14 and they had a great time. The animation team are very good especially Fernando Salamo and Noelia we hardly saw the boys.
We had breakfast at the hotel every day, it was okay. We had one meal at the hotel which was very good and reasonable. We would have eaten more at the hotel, but we wanted to try somewhere different every night.
About half way through our stay I got stuck in a lift for the first time. The staff responded very quickly and I was out within 2 minutes.
Overall I was very happy with this hotel, most of the staff have a can do attitude and work very hard to ensure that the guests have good service. The pool bar was also very good, very efficient and friendly. The only ick was that the spa was not working and showed no signs of being repaired or replaced.
We would return to this hotel again if we are ever in Alicante again.
