“Great staff - very welcoming.”

We had a great stay at this fabulous and very welcoming park. The facilities were very clean and there was plenty of shade. We enjoyed barbecued salmon and veges for dinner the first night we stayed. But it was the staff who really made our stay a pleasure. We had our collie with us and, as we did the full day tour, needed her to be cared for during the 9 hours we were away. A special thank you to staff member (Noelene I think) who took Twiggy under her wing for the day and gave her plenty of exercise and attention. The kindness of the staff was very much appreciated. Thank you.

“Couldn't agree more”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2011

This place was a little gem in the outback. Jo arranged all tours including Einasleigh train trip and Undarra tubes with guide in advance. No hassles at all. The 4 generations of family had a great time! Didn't experience any meals as April is a little slow after the wet season but none the less a quiet without the crowds time to visit!

Tip - Try the hamburgers across the road at the Roadhouse!

“There's nothing primitive about Bedrock Village!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2011

We were impressed.
Friendly, helpful staff. Shady private site. Modern, clean facilities. The wood-fired pizza. The easy tour booking. It was all good.
But nothing, after a month travelling in the beautiful but tough Queensland outback, prepared us for daily fresh pastries, bread and cakes and fresh coffee from the resident pastrycook and his wife.
Like i said, there's nothing primitive about Bedrock Village.

“I'll be spreading the word...”

I'll be spreading the word about this great place. We came into Bedrock because we arrived a day early at Undara ( where we had a booking) and could not get into the overflow to wait our site the next day, When we got to Bedrock , we decided to cancel our reservation at Undara and stay on at Bedrock. So glad we did. We thoroughly enjoyed the pizza night and sing along around the campfire the next night... the fresh bakery was brilliant, coffee scrolls, and vanilla slice to die for.. we wanted to go on the Savannahlander train which was coming through, but was booked out, but Jo managed to get enough people together and arranged a reverse trip bus to Einsleigh, train back.with morning tea of fresh lamingtons and anzac biscuits, and genuinely home made! All the staff were friendly and helpful. They made a young girls birthday special, arranging other kids to have a little party with her on the mini golf and even had a birthday cake made for her. talk about going the extra distance... If you get the chance call in and say Hi to Joe & Jo and enjoy an oasis in the middle of the outback...

“Loved our stay at Bedrock”

Not only is this caravan park pet friendly but the staff will puppy sit whilst you go and enjoy your day - the park is beautifully laid our - clean ammenities, adequate washing facilities, even somewhere to wash the dust off your car. We took 3 tours from the village and thoroughly enjoyed each one - all very different. Meal at the park was great!

Hi sallyfry!
Thanks for the great feedback! We love pets at Bedrock and believe that travelling with your 'Bestmate' shouldnt restrict you from seeing everthing that this great land has to offer! Im sure your lil mate didnt mind a bit that you left him/her to relax and unwind whilst you did a tour.
Thanks again and happy travelling!
