“Amazing attention to detail”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

We had a relaxing two nights at the Old Town Hall in Redmire, were we very impressed by the level of detail, professionalism and consistency demonstrated by Lorri and Dave, not seen in many better hotels. The accommodation and rooms are beautifully presented, without being too fussy. Breakfasts are second to none, from the homemade bread to the Dales Breakfast which will set you up for the day. If you get the opportunity try one of their evening meals as they too are on the money!

The location is superb, stunning and unspoilt, though be aware mobile phone coverage is weak to non-existent (for O2 customers) Probably a good thing for most people! Though the Old Town hall does WiFi, so your not totally disconnected from the world!

We were made to feel very welcome during our stay – Cheers

Richard and Cathy

“The Old Town Hall Redmire Yorkshire”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2011

We stayed for six nights. Fabulous. Lorri & Dave couldn't do more for us. Expert advice about eating out; pubs; walks; where to visit, etc. Best breakfasts ever. Super rooms. Great location. We compared everywhere else we stayed while in the UK, to TOTH standards and they struggled to match Lorri & Dave's exacting levels of quality. Couldn't recommend The Old Town Hall in Redmire highly enough. When next in UK and Yorkshire we'll be back.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good.

“Goes on getting better!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2011

This was our third visit. The first time, I described it as the best B&B I'd stayed in. Dave and Lorri keep making improvements so next time it was "Better than the Best". In the two years since we last stayed, the entrance has been refurbished and the guest sitting room completely redecorated. The bedrooms are still as immaculate as ever. You can have as much or as little as you like for breakfast with lots of choice of wonderful local produce. The best bit though is still Dave and Lorri's approach; they are very professional but at the same time very friendly and helpful. It seems more like staying with friends. All in all a great place to stay in a wonderful area.

“Fantastic!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2011

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we would be unable to to find any fault with this perfect B and B. We stayed one night in the Avignon suite and it was lovely. All the extras that came with the room like the wine and the biscuits were just the finishing touches to the beautiful room. Dave, Lorri and of course Shula were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was excellent and the local produce was beautiful. Wish we had stayed longer and we will definately be planning another visit when we can get a dog and baby sitter again.

Room Tip: Book the Avignon suite it is well worth the money

“excellent +++”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2011

Spent 3 nights at this wonderful guest house. From the moment we arrived We were made to feel very welcome by Dave Lori and Schula the adorable dog!.The guest house is furnished to a very high standard with a light and airy feel
The little extras of homemade biscuits, chocolates, cordials and complimentary wine in the room and the lovely L'Ocittane Verbena toiletries made it extra special.
We had dinner at the guest house on the first night which was very good and being able to provide your own wine was a bonus.
We also ate at the local pub The Bolton Arms (2 minutes walk away ) where we were made very welcome by Janet,Dave, and the 'locals'
Breakfast is cooked to order and a difficult choice as everything was lovely including the homemade bread and jam (but remember to leave a bit of sausage for the dog!!!!!!)
Redmire is a lovely old fashioned village -its ike going back in time (in a nice way)with no digital Television and poor mobile phone signal but we found this very refreshing.
The sight of the cows being herded down the street on Sunday afternoon to the miking shed was a sight us townies rarely see and a delight.
We had a lovely weekend and highly reccomend this guest house to chill out and as a base to explore the neighbouring countryside.
We would love to return

Room Tip: Stayed in Clinton superkingsize ensuite cheapest of the 3 rooms -if avaliable would stay in Avignon...
