Each and every winter, we travel to Montville to get away from the hustle and bustle for just a few nights. Each year we keep coming back to the beautiful idyllic Hunchy Hideaway. The little touches like chocolates, fresh flowers, fresh scones with jam and cream, warm fluffy bath robes and more are just the icing on the cake. The individual private cabins are cosy and romantic, and the spa bath is wonderful for the extra relaxation. At night, visits from the friendly furries (possums) are an extra delight (our last stay came complete with mummy possum with baby on her back)!

After trying other places in Montville, and after 4 incredibly enjoyable stays at Hunchy, I can recommend no other place. It is truly beautiful and perfect for that weekend escape (or longer if you have the luxury!).

This place was just perfect for a romantic getaway. If you are looking to go somewhere with your spouse and have absolute seclusion and every necessity at your fingertips you need to go to Hunchy Hideaway. The room was so well laid out and the bed was really comfortable. The size of the room was small enough for cosy and large enough to cook your meals and dine-in, which we did the whole weekend. The surroundings were absolutely magnificent. I'll definitely be recommending it to people I know. And it won't be our last trip there.

Everything about this little romantic escape was just perfect! Local produce filled our tummies, while local wildlife popped by to say hello. The serenity was divine, while the rooms cute and perfectly designed. The hosts were there if we needed anything, even just a friendly chat, but never intruded, they offered everything you could need to make your stay simply relaxing.
Located nearby, Montville provided a spot of country shopping during the day, and delicious cuisines of an evening. Included in our Hunchy's package was dinner at a local restaurant where the owners invited us over to their table for a wine and chat.
This couldn't have been any more perfect for my husband and I to share a romantic birthday. Thank you to Ali & Denis, and everyone in Montville for such a memorable escape, we are already spreading the good word and will definitely be back to hideaway at Hunchy's!

We have stayed at Hunchy Hideaway 3 times now, and there will definitely be a 4th and a 5th and so on....... It is the most relaxing, yet energising place that we have ever stayed at, and we have stayed at alot. Of all of the B and B's over Montville and Maleny, this is by far the best.

From the decor, to the food, to the friendly owners, where nothing is too much trouble, you are in for a treat!!!!! Bath robes, lovely coffee, luxurious toiletries to use in the huge spa baths and the rainforest surrounding you, everywhere you look.. Absolute perfection!
