We stayed here for a Friday evening as we were going to the armugeddon tank battle activity in Husband's Bosworth the following day. The guest house is situated on a lovely farm very close to the M1 (although don't worry about the noise, there isn't any!). We found the location being close to the motorway very handy as we were travelling from Manchester after work and wanted somewhere just off the motorway. The M6 is also only about 10 minutes away.
The guest rooms are in a separate wing which is of a barn conversion style although appears to be newly built. We found this lovely and private being way from the main house and each room has their own decked balcony area with a huge expanse of well kept lawn beyond. We stayed in a double room with what appeared to be a king size bed and we think had a memory foam mattress (it was very comfortable). The room also contained a flat screen TV with free view, a desk, two wardrobes and two bedside tables with lamp.
The bathroom contained a huge shower and double sink and was decorated in a very modern style. Both the bathroom and the bedroom were absolutely spotless and very stylishly decorated.
The lady who greeted us was very friendly and we were given a key for the front door so that we could go out to one of the many local pubs for a drink and something to eat. Cookies, tea, coffee and hot chocolate were waiting for us in our room. We also ate like kings the following morning when a full English breakfast was waiting for us.
We found the entire stay to be of a very high standard. I have travelled a lot over the years with work and we have had a number of city breaks away together over the years. The standard of the rooms was by far the highest of anywhere we have ever stayed for the rate that we paid. In fact we were so impressed by the quality of the guest house, hospitality and the breakfast the following morning that we have vowed never to stay in a hotel ever again unless absolutely necessary. We will be looking for guest houses and B&B's from now on. The bar has been set very high indeed.
