“Antony Palace Hotel Venice”

I booked this four star hotel thru Travelcity For a trip thru Italy only to be given what appears to be one star annex which they said was what Travelcity booked for us. They told us the main hotel was fully booked and we could not be upgraded. I advance for the hotel which left us in a bind to sleep in a dump.

Room Tip: I would book another hotel and use anyone but Travelocity to book a trip to Venice. This conflicts...

Dear Sir,

we are sorry about the misunderstanding with your room reservation. The fact that the "residence-type" rooms are located in an annex building also called "dependence" is clearly stated in the room name on travelocity website, and the very low price justifies this. But we do understand that sometimes it can be confusing. Anyways we are hardly working to make it even clearer for all our customers.

Don't hesitate to contact us directly at web@sogedinhotels.it .

Thank You and kind regards.

“Pleasant hotel for an overnight stay in Venice”

We stayed here for one night before embarking on a cruise. The shuttle picked us up from the airport on-time, for 5 euro each. The check-in was fast and friendly. The rooms are modern, clean and very comfortable. The "wellness area" is ok, nothing spectacular. Just a sauna, steam room, shower and a very small "gym" with 3 pieces of cardio equipment.

The location is odd, but because the hotel provides shuttle service to both the airport and into Venezia, it is fine. There is a decent mall just a short walk down the busy road.

The breakfast included in the room rate was delicious. Tonnes of options and very tasty.

Room Tip: We saw both the executive room and superior room, and there is not much difference, so save your mon...

“Very nice hotel but expensive shuttle”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

The hotel is perfect, very lovely and rooms very well soundproofed. We travelled with children and we had a large room with two double beds. Breakfast was very plentiful and we also had a free access to hammam and sauna which was very relaxing after a huge visiting day walk in Venice. The hotel is nearest to a commercial area which is very convenient. The shuttle is very expensive 5€ per person one way trip. but there is a bus stop near the hotel and reception kindly gave us the bus schedule (N°19)

A very nice hotel. Very clean. Brilliant breakfast. A little out from Venice but they do offer a shuttle bus and is near a local train station. Would revisit.

“Modern hotel with good facilities”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

I stayed in this hotel with five colleagues and we were all impressed by the standard of the hotel foyer and bedrooms. Rooms were clean, modern and spacious with a good bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities and mini bar were an added bonus.

Breakfast was very plentiful, but quite unusual with mushroom vol au vents and carrots to choose from! The bar area was an enjoyable place to relax in the evening.

We made use of the shuttle service to pick us up from the airport, which we had reserved in advance and then confirmed on arrival at Marco Polo. To get into central Venice we made use of the train. It was a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel to the train stop Gaggio Porta Est. I had looked up times on the trenitalia website in advance so we knew when there were trains available. I would recommend this as they aren't that frequent, but definitely better than the bus.

All in all this was a very good hotel.
