“Killyleagh, Northern Ireland”

I am a frequent visitor to Northern Ireland, sometimes twice a year. During May of 1999 I had the pleasure of staying at the Kiilyleagh Castle for 7 days. The Colonel and his wife are lovely couple. It was such a pleasure to have met them. I understand that they are now retired and the son is running this intriging castle. I, also have dined at the Dufferin Arms several times. The food is excellent. I will be returning May 2012, and hopefully head in that direction from Crawfrodsburn.

Room Tip: I have not stayed at Dufferin Arms, but understand excellent

“Home from Home business stay”

Due to the nature of my work I found I had a 7 night stay in Downpatrick & booked myself in here based on recommendation! It exceeded expectation - I was extremely comfortable & very well looked after. The cooked breakfast t at time to suit was fantastic and nothing was too much bother, and bonus was the fab pub next door that was very welcoming & the food was superb - the Guinness was also perfect! I worked some long hours but honestly felt like I've been on holiday! Perfect!! Would recommend for both business & pleasure & hope I get to stay again! Fantastic value too.

Room Tip: All the rooms were great - I had room C which was great!!

I stayed for only one night on business 231111 , there are not enough words to describe the wonderful warm homely feel of this magnificent Inn has.The room was just brilliant, and just what I needed after a long three days travelling. The breakfast ......well need I say more. And to top it all you have The Dufferin Arms next door! , a REAL Irish pub with genuine freindly folk. The food was again brilliant, try the chowder and linguine.Killyleagh (lay) is recorded as being the most freindly town in Ireland!

Room Tip: Any of the rooms they are all fantastic

“wonderful stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

We had a wonderful time here when we stayed for the night in October. It felt like home away from home plus all the extra luxuries. A beautiful place full of character and a scrumptious breakfast to boost. Thankyou!
