The Plaine Guesthouse's main asset is Justina, the manager. She's so friendly, welcoming and helpful! The bedroom we stayed in was nicely decorated in a contemporary style and well thought-out (except for the ceiling lights!). However, the bathroom is in true need of an update. The beige 80's bathroom suite with the matching beige carpet is outdated, and while clean, it is just not up to standard for the price category. The shower is way too low to stand underneath. There is no heating in there and no toiletries are provided. For a true luxury feeling just a few overall small touches would be great: better quality towels, more tea on the tray, up to date magazines (instead of 2010 ones), toiletries... The breakfast was tasty, but there was no fruit or yoghurt. The weekend rate is slightly overpriced for what is on offer. All in all this B&B pretends to be a little more than it actually is. It was a pleasant stay, but we might look for a better value for money next time.
