I stayed with my extended family (age range 18 to 83) and we found it very clean and comfortable.We had standard rooms which overlooked the cathedral. Excellently fiutted out bathroom but only a bath with a hand held shower head no proper shower. Excellent location near the cathedral in a part of town that had very little traffic and not much noise. Reception staff were friendly and helpful in amking a dinner booking for us. Breakfast was really well presented and very adequate.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Right in the middle of town close to several bars and restaurants (although many were closed as we were travelling in early August when most of Northern France shuts down). The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious (we had booked the so-called comfort room rather than the standard room). The bathroom was quite large and well equipped although there was no proper shower fitting in the bath which meant you had to hold the shower head in one hand if you wanted a shower.

Although in the centre of town, it is in a quiet situation so we had a good nights sleep on both the nights we stayed.

The hotel has no restaurant or bar (it is basically a large B&B) and because of this lacks any real atmosphere. The staff are quite friendly and efficient but there's no buzz to the place. Breakfast is served in a room on the 1st floor landing and is adequate but not especially interesting nor particularly good value.

On the plus side, they have a reasonably good sized car park which is locked at night so you can be sure your car is safe.

Noyon is a good central locatiom for visiting the wonderful cathedrals of Picardy. The hotel is good, clean, friendly, the cathedral across the street!. No restaurant, we did eat at "Atlantide", very (maybe, very, very) simple, but "les fruits de mer", excellent!

We stayed at Le Cedre for 3 nights while touring southern Picardy. It was a very comfortable home base. The hotel is located in the medieval city center of Noyon across from the 12th century gothic cathedral. The cathedral is framed by a magnificent cedar tree and the view from the front of the hotel is beautiful. The hotel is pleasant and comfortable and seems to cater to business travelers, but was ideal for our purpose. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, and the hotel provides parking and Internet access at no extra charge.

The hotel offers a very reasonable half-board price which includes buffet breakfast in their breakfast room and dinner at any of five hotels in walking distance from the hotel. This was a very nice feature because it allowed us to take advantage of the special pricing and yet not be tied down to a hotel restaurant. Noyon is a quiet small city that was nice to return to after a busy day. Though we were in the center we were able to sleep with a window open. A walk through the cathedral and its grounds were a wonderful way to end a busy day.
