“11th Floor was like a old Run down house. Maybe your floor too ?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

The 11th floor of this property is assigned to Deluxe room category and therefore it has to be better than the lower category rooms floor.
But if you have a chance to stay at this hotel, please visit 11th floor !
How miserable the corridor looks!
A lot of stain on the wall paper ! Litterally everywhere ! It looks almost like design but it is stain. How many years they are there without being controlled properly.
In addition, furniture in my room also has a lot of stain and I feel strange smell in the room.
What is that ?
It is really a shame that this Hilton (now owned by Hilton World Wide ? after Odawara City ) exists in Japan.

“The bade was good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2011

It was fortunate that I had emailed Mr. Oto, the GM, prior to our arrival. I would have taken the train to Odawara, but Mr. Oto informed me that our arrival day was a national holiday and that the Odawara shuttle would not be operating. He suggested that we take the train to Nebukawa. Knowing that Nebukawa did not have escalators, I asked the hotel to meet us on the train platform to help carry our luggage up the flight of stairs. A very pleasant hotel staff member was waiting for us when we got off the train. Very impressive service!

After checking into our room on the 11th floor, we explored the grounds (the wedding chapel, the walking trail, the tennis courts). We then went to the bade where we frolicked for almost two hours. As we opened the doors to wade from the indoor to the outside area, a gentle rain began to fall. It was so relaxing to soak in the warm water as cold rain droplets fell on my face.

After the bade, we moved on to the onsen (natural hot springs). Then, it was on to the Relaxation Room. There were a group of chairs with soothing music. There were also three chairs with a slight vibration. We never did figure out the purpose of these three chairs. Finally, we moved on to the massage chairs where we got a very vigorous back massage.

We did not try any of the other facilities - karaoke rooms, bowling alley, arcade. Aside for breakfast (quite abundant), we did not have any meals during our one night stay. The hotel provided a complimentary tray of fresh fruit (oranges, asian pear, persimmon, kiwi, banana) and an assortment of desserts (including two very good French macarons). With the water activities and the massage, I got very sleepy and never got around to dinner.

That night the wind howled and woke us up. I thought we were in the middle of a typhoon. Nonetheless, we slept well.

“Nice facilities”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

Stayed in a "plus" room which as far as I can tell means a "twin". Small room, Two single beds. Furniture (desk, bedside stand) seems like from the 80's. (only one electrical plug available!!) Nice plasma TV; good size for the small room. CNN bilingual if you can spot the button on the remote. Small Ironing board and cordless iron (nice touch but suppose this is due to lack of electrical plugs). Toothbrush, hair brush, soap shampoo etc. provided. Facilities are very nice (spa, tennis, karaoke, bowling etc.) and underused so no lines while we were there. Two problems. Menu for lunch and dinner is mostly the same in the 1st floor restaurant...with a few different items for dinner (but same fruit, dessert an buffet items). Also, the tissue in the rooms are quarter size so don't stay here if you have allergies. No place to give your nose a good blow! (i suffered for two days) Or bring your own box of tissue, maybe that would be best....

“The perfect place to relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2011

Great resort which offers a lots of activities: spa, pool, tennis, bowling and more. My kids love it.
Rooms are nice, standard a bit small though, the deluxe offers much more space.
Beside food is always good. The buffet restaurant serves very good food from breakfast to dinner. Lunch and all you can drink plan are very good value for money. Seats were much better before.

Only downside, it’s quite pricey.

“Beautiful resort hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

This is a great hotel if you plan on getting away from it all - i.e., aim for relaxation, spa, and just beautiful scenary. The staff is very helpful and there is a fully equipped gym. You don't want to miss the onsen on the 2nd floor (hot and cold water), very relaxing, also the various pools and sauna on the first floor. just don't walk with your Yukata on the first floor, someone is going to tell you to skaddadle up. The food in the resturant is very expensive (hamburger with some fries and a Japanese pickle cost me over $25), you may want to take the shuttle to Odawara and explore for better choices there.

I checked into this hotel around 4:00 PM so the ceremics class was already closed. If you are planing to stay in this hotel and like creating something you may want to come a bit earlier and make a plate with the guidance of a local artist. It will take a few weeks to dry and then they will ship it to you. You can use the computers in the library for emailing and such.

The view of the ocean from this hotel is great, the grounds are immaculate. there are many trails through the gardens but unfiortunately I came a few days after the earthquake and we were not allowed into the trails because of possible structural damage. Take a walk from the hotel down to the city - very peaceful. Highly recommand!
