The hotel is right on the water - across from some nice condominiums on one side and the bay on the other. My room, which was non-smoking, was clean and roomy, with a small balcony overlooking the bay. The front desk staff were professional and pleasant. Small exercise room located in a ship-motif room, overlooking the docks. The restaurant served good food. The location is bit far from Capetown. There is a big shopping center in town in Gordon's Bay.

I upgraded to a pool facing suite. The room was clean, modern, and the staff was quite friendly. The gym is very well equiped.

Downside was the wind in the pool area. Also, you have to pay for wireless access and the service was intermittent. When I tried to checkout early they asked me to pay for the full reservation, even though I was staying at the standard rack rate and cancelled before 9am on the same day. Finally, the manager approved the checkout and I did not have to pay the remaining days.

Note that they have a five day stay equals one night free program. This helps if you are going for a holiday.

The location was nice for Gordon's Bay, but if it is your first time in Cape Town for a holiday I would recommend Camps Bay. It is much closer to downtown, hip, and more fun.

Very nice location right on the seafront, but it can be very windy! Suite style accomodation, huge living area with a kitchen and 500 yards from a supermarket, so you can br flexible with your eating arrangements. Level of staff service excellent, food good and lots of bars etc right on your doorstep.
