We were told about this place from a passer-byer and went we arrived we couldn't believe how nice everything was! We just stopped in, not planning to stay, but noticed how friendly the staff was just decided last minute to stay the night. It was so inexpensive for the two of us - and our cabina was so cozy and comfortable! We ate there and were completely impressed with the food (how good it was AND the selection!) - it was fantastic all the way around! We are recommending it to everyone! Thank you Sol y Mar for such an amazing experience!

We stayed at Sol y Mar for two nights. Our cabina was really nice. Steps from the beach. Quiet, clean and comfortable. The food was delicious and the bar a lot of fun. Get there by water taxi from Golfito. Looking forward to going back.

The low season rates for the cabins was a pleasant surprise, and we actually didn't find better deals in the rest of our trip along to southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica.

Rick, Lori and the rest of the staff were friendly and very helpful at all times, and even though we only stayed two nights, we were sad to go.

Zancudo is an awesome beach, even though the beach is several kilometers long, we only saw one person all the way to the horizon. I you are looking for a place to relax, in opposition with the crowded, noisy and dirty beaches closer to the Central Valley of CR, Zancudo is the place for you.

This was the last place i stayed in on my 4 day solo mountain bike expedition. i was recommended by a friend of theirs. I really think they have something good going on here. the staff is all tico and they have worked there for a long time and seemed very knowledgeable when i asked about activities and the condition of the roads and how to go to other places. i biked from Golfito that same day so i was extremely tired! i loved their big bed in the simple room. its a simple room but it has a warm shower that's always good after a long day of biking. Loved the refrigerator in the room definitely an extra. good price also.
