“Flawless”

In every way, this is a very special B&B. I'd have to agree with Leon M, this is the best B&B we've experienced. Patrick and Eric did all that they could the ensure that we were welcomed. To our regret, we stayed only two nights. Carpe Diem is a charming establishment, run by generous hosts. Dinner is highly recommended, not just for the lack of a restaurant in the village, but for the experience of great food in a beautiful setting, and the opportunity to meet other travellers. We will return. Thanks Patrick and Eric.

“Best B&B ever”

My wife and I have travelled quite extensively and let me say that if you visit France you must do two things. Firstly you have to get your photo taken in front of the Eiffel tower and secondly and probably more importantly you must stay at Carpe Diem. We stayed for two nights and this is the best B & B we have ever visited. Patrick and Eric were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic, the service magnificent and we were made to feel very much at home. The area around Massangis offers so much I wish we had stayed a week.
For those visiting a B&B you need to remember you are in someone's home, not a hotel. Show a little respect and you will get it back many times over. Thanks again Patrick and Eric we hope to come back.

Room Tip: The "Diane room" is a little dearer but well worth it.

“Proprietors”

Our room at CarpeDiem was very nice and our breakfast was generous and quite good. Our service was very disappointing. Patrick and Eric completely ignored us. When we arrived, they seemed to want us to go to our room immediately. The next morning, they told us breakfast was on the table and didn't come back to check on us once. It was the most impersonal and rude service we received in our three week visit in France.

Thank you for your review, though it makes us feel sad.
Let us resume your stay
You arrived around 6 p.m, I welcomed you, took your luggage and we went together to your room, The Pastoral. This one is located in an annex of the main house. We had a chat and you explained your 6 hours drive from Provence. As you did not booked for dinner, I asked you if you wanted to go to a restaurant. You said you were too tired to take the car and you had planned a picnic in your room.
Half an hour after your arrival, you came to the living room in the main house, to have access to wifi. We gave you the schedule for the next day's breakfast and then you returned to your room, and haven’t seen you for the rest of the evening.
Although breakfast was to be provided at 8.30 a.m the next day, you came to the lounge before 8.00 a.m. to have access to wifi. Around 8.15 a.m, we served breakfast. You then passed to the table with your computer. As it seemed very important, we did not want to disturb you.
Our mistake was to have been too subtle.
Later your husband came to pay and thank us. At that time you were already in the car. I came to thank you and wish you a safe journey.
We feel sorry that you confused rudeness and discretion.
Our will is always the best for our guests.

“A Perfect Retreat”

A magnificent retreat in the countryside of France! Patrick and Eric are the amazing hosts. thinking of everything. Carpe Diem is unique, beautiful, comfortable and charming. The dining experience at the home is superb. The table setting, company, and exquisite food set this property above all others. One not to be missed! We look forward to going back. Matter of fact, I would plan the trip around making sure I could make this a stop for several nights. It is a great place to stay in order to make several day trips around the area.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are fabulous!

“Amazing....”

My husband and I sadly only allotted two nights to stay at Carpe Diem; we could have stayed for a week and not gotten tired of it. Patrick and Eric are friendly and accommodating hosts, and it was their warmth and hospitality that we enjoyed most of all. We stayed in Eugenie, such a lovely, large room. Breakfast was a feast each morning, including Eric's home made yogurt and confitures, coffee or tea, fresh breads, cheese and fruit. Definitely recommend allowing Patrick to prepare dinner; fantastic meal and awesome value.
We would place this chambre d'hote on our top five list, and when we return to France, we will make sure we include several nights at Carpe Diem.
