Broseley House exceeded my expectations, from my first e-mail accommodation enquiry I found the owner Ros's speedy and friendly response a positive. We were greeted on our arrival with fresh coffee, cake and biscuits which were very welcome after a 130 mile drive. We stayed in a self catering suite; the room was large with armchairs and a dining table. Nice touches in the suite included bathrobes, slippers and large good towels. Also present were hot water bottles and extra bedding.
The small kitchen off our room was well equipped with a double hot plate and microwave, toaster and George Forman grill.
In the kitchen area of room is filter coffee as well as sachets of ordinary coffee, tea and chocolate, Bottled water was most welcome also.
Ros is happy to get any supplies in for you before your arrival.
The bathroom has a large shower which was lovely and there is shampoo, shower gel, body lotion and even a tooth brush!
Ros will do you a breakfast for £5 if you wish. She is happy for you to bring back takeaway food to the apartment and says the Duke of York Pub around the corner may rustle something up for you to take back. (Good home cooked food here)
Our room faced the road but four days here and it was very quiet.
TV has good reception, DVD'S in entrance for your entertainment as well as books and leaflets on the area.
Eating out in Broseley consists of the curry/takeaway across the road which was ok but I've had much better. Cafe also across the road from Broseley House is ok but much better is Bar 67 next door to Spar supermarket on the high street. Full English here and toast is £3.50 with drinks extra. Very nice breakfast.
There is a takeaway Pizza/kebab place on high street/
We felt very at home at Broseley House, It is a great base very close to Ironbridge with a good bus service (not sundays)
Parking is limited a few strides away but we always found a space and no charge!
No wifi, no signal for me but library is steps away and welcomes visitors to use the computers.
We had a lovely stay at Broseley House and will stay again without a doubt.
Only thing my partner mentioned was lighting in room was not good enough for him to read. A good table lamp would be appreciated as bulbs in room are low energy.
We felt like welcome guests in Ros's home and the hug she gave me as I left was genuine and lovely.
