This was our third time lucky trying to get into the Jays - the other times it was booked up. Why? Must have been those great reviews on Tripadvisor! Does the Jays deserve its good name? The answer is a resounding YES! Speaking as someone who has stayed in B&B's all over Britain - this is one of the very best. From the outside it looks much as any small bungalow and certainly too small for a B&B - but as someone remarked the inside is bigger than the outside. The inside is spotless and the owners go far beyond the call of duty in making their guests welcome. The quality of the rooms is very good and the Garden Room is quite simply sensational. Tea when we arrived and Breakfast on the patio added delight to our stay. The cooked English breakfast was first-rate and better than many expensive hotels. The only negative I would add is that although the guest house is normally quiet being close to an air base there is the possibility of low flying planes. But if you like planes you'll welcome the plane-watching opportunities!
