I had some problems with my room which they didn’t sort out, but benefit of the doubt that they didn’t already know full well the aircon dripped and leaked onto the floor making the room musty – and potentially dangerous. The dripping noise also meant I couldn’t operate it overnight. So if you get room 207, check this has been fixed. Otherwise nice elevated position with odd-numbered rooms having balconies and views of Acitrezza port and Ciclopi Islands. Parking, but not shaded. Pool looks nice. No WiFi, breakfast just OK. Residents can buy a voucher for dinner for €13. I think I would look elsewhere if I came again, but price was good, much cheaper than anywhere in Taormina, and besides, Taormina is horrid, completely spoilt. For Etna – I had a half day trip with Geo Etna Explorer, basically an enthusiastic guy with a Landrover, and you stop and see interesting volcanic features on the way to the ski station, and you can spend an hour there visiting the 2001 crater etc.
