We stayed at this hotel for a week with inghams. The hotel is centrally located in Levi with just a short walk to zero point and the ski slopes. The slopes are beautiful, nice and wide and uncrowded. Be aware that most of the lifts in this resort are drag lifts and very long ones at that! Perfect resort for beginners and intermediate skiers, not so good for advanced.
The hotel itself is clean and welcoming. Free wi-fi is available all around the hotel. Our room came with a large drying cupboard which was good to hang clothes and boots in after a day on the slopes. The only criticism with the room is that you cannot control the temperature. We needed to sleep under 2 duvets to keep warm as it was -24outside! The maid service is also not great.
The food is not upto the standard of the hotel. We were half board and ended up eating outside the hotel. The food was cold, unappetising and repetitive. Vegeatarian options consisted of salad and bolied potatoes every night. We complained to the reps who were
brilliant and arranged for fresh pasta and juice for us. No juices are included as standard with the evening meal. Alcohol is very expensive-a large glass of wine set us back €11! Beers are €5.50
We went on the reindeer safari, husky safari and snowmobiles. These trips are AMAZING and we highly recommend them.
The hotel spa is lovely, however, the pools could have been warmer! Men be aware that you will not be allowed in unless you are wearing speedos/tight trunks.
We hired the thermal suits and boots recommended by inghams. However, if you have good quality ski wear, you will not need to hire the suits. The boots however, are highly recommended!
Lapland truly is a magical place and we have enjoyed every minute of our time here. We will definitely come back, but maybe stay at the K5 next time.
