“Wonderful Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Really could not fault much about our stay, other than we wished we could have stayed for longer than a night!

Right in the heart of Levi, you can walk straight in off one of the slopes. Beautiful cosy but modern hotel, rooms decorated in Scandinavian design with nice spacious bathrooms. Underground secure parking for eur 10 a day and you can get the lift straight up to your room from the car park. Ask to stay in the main building if you can. Also, for eur 104 for a double room, it was amazing value for money, which includes a nice buffet breakfast. On the ground floor there is a coffee shop open until 10pm as well as a restaurant.

Not really much of a complaint, just that the shower screens allow the water to leak onto the bathroom floor which was a little unexpected for such a new an otherwise nicely designed bathrooms.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main building as it is made up of several buildings.

“Lovely hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

We stayed at the Sokos Hotel as part of the Search for Santa trip (3 nights). The hotel was lovely – very modern and very clean. The room was a great size and although we had worried at the time of booking if there would be enough sleeping space for the kids, we were delighted to see there was a sofa bed folded out to almost the size of a double bed. There was also a pull-out bed underneath the main bed so sleeping space was more than sufficient. We stayed on a Bed & Breakfast basis. Breakfast choices were pretty good... lots of cereals, bread, meats, eggs etc... The location of this hotel is fantastic – right in the centre of the resort. Plenty of restaurants round about serving all kinds of food, from pizza's to Mexican. There was a function on one of the nights we were there and the noise kept me awake through the night but all in all, we had a fantastic stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: The rooms are very warm so no need to bring extra layers for bedtime!

We stayed here for the weekend on a Search For Santa Trip and the hotel was perfect. Rooms were spacious and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpfull with any questions we had. We upgraded to Half Board and thou there was not alot of choice the standard of the food was great. Was also in the best location. I would advise anybody to stay here.

“Surpassed all expectations the stuff dreams are made of”

Myself and my husband came back yesterday from a 4 night stay at this fantastic hotel, words cannot express enough what a fabulous time we had, the hotel is just like the brochure pictures, as is the setting, it is warm, attractive and modern with it's own unique Scandinavian style. The reception staff are friendly, unpretentious, warm and inviting nothing is too much trouble for them and they, as everyone does, speak perfect English. The food is phenomenal so much choice at every meal and cooked to perfection and the restaurant is beautiful, the rooms are gorgeous, warm , clean and very comfortable with everything you could need including free iron and safe and you can hire a kettle. Bathrooms are lovely again everything you need and warm and walk in shower fab! Drinks are more expensive in Finland but hotel prices were competitive and their hot chocolate with whipped cream is to die for! The Elves who look after you on excursions are wonderful, so genuine you end up believing they really are elves! in my opinion TIPTOES is for me the best and most magical and played a big part in making my holiday wonderful, also a big thank you to Thomson's Gold for the whole structure of the holiday excellent and our Thomson Rep Sean was very good he was full of information very helpful and friendly excellent at his job. My only advice to other travellers here is this, if you want a night or day snow mobile safari fine to use Aurora Safaris although there are other trips through your tour rep probably as good if not better but do not use Aurora Safaris for the Father Christmas Visit go with your tour company, the Aurora trip to Father Christmas or should I say a FAKE IMPOSTER is a waste of money badly organised a total disappointment and a rip off big style, kids big and small would be gutted, and this company take no details of your driving licences or ask you to sign anything to cover health and safety and insurance and god forbid there is any damage done to a snow mobile they become rude and offensive to the whole party even if you are not involved! For me the high light of the trip is the Thomson Father Christmas trip with your elves probably the most magical day of my life and I'm 49 and went without kids! For the whole holiday our snow suits boots socks mittens and hats were brill and very warm, be aware if the skies are cloudy you will not see northern lights though. Not to worry there is so much to see and do and ask your reps for their fab excursions also for beginners use free snow slopes in kiddiland to the left of snow slope at bottom village. Intersport do some great deals on ski hire too and try activities at the big Spa centre, bowling swimming dancing etc. So to sum up THE BEST HOLIDAY THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED MAKE IT THAT FOR ME.

Room Tip: If you are a smoker ask for a balcony but all rooms are fab.

“Returning customers and will be back again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2011

We've stayed in this hotel few times for five or six nights in total now. In my opinion this is the best located hotel at Levi area - unless you're a golfer and prefer something closer to tee one.

There aren't many visitors in August so it can get bit eerie walking through empty skiing resort. The other downside of visiting off-season is that not all restaurants are open. But still there was enough to choose from. Most of the little shops and butiques were open, which was nice.

The hotel itself is divided in multiple buildings, so there was quite a walk from front desk to our room. Room was nice, clean and had a sauna too. It was bigger than average Finnish hotel room as (I think) it's planned for ski tourists and their luggage and gear.

The parking garage was over-priced but there are plenty of free of charge parking places available at least in summer time.

Room Tip: Hotel area is quite large so be prepared to walk or ask a room close to front desk.
