“Expensive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

This is a good place to stay after visiting Warkworth Castle. Our room was lovely but had twin beds , this part had only been open one month.. no ensuite but our private bathroom was just across the hall very nice shower. We had lovely bathrobes supplied and the toiletries were good quality and the towels were lovely and SOFT. The breakfast was delicious and the Menu was extensive, nothing was too much trouble. Our hostess Claire was delightful, she was from Australia too. Our room was at back of house a front room would have been better but we got last room.

Room Tip: Try for a room overlooking Castle

My Husband and I have just spent the night at the FABULOUS Roxbro House. It has surpassed all of our expectations. A warm welcome from Claire and we were shown to our room (3) Beautiful furnishings, a very comfy bed,fab shower and the fluffiest towels, but it was the EXTRA touches that made it for us -- Fruit, chocolates, wine (if you wished to purchase) luxury toiletries, bath robes, slippers ---the list is endless. This morning we had a most delicious breakfast. The choice from the menu was extensive and extra toast and coffee was no problem. We wished we'd been staying for more than one night and look forward to a return visit.

“first class in every department”

My partner and I have just returned from a one night stay at Roxboro House. What can I say? From the welcome, to the bedroom, to the little touches (like fresh milk outside your door in the morning for your 1st cup of tea of the day), to the breakfast, everything was first class.
We stayed in room 1 which has a lovely view of Warkworth Castle. The bed is so comfy it's difficult to drag yourself out of it....only the promise of the fab shower can do it.
To sum it up, Roxboro House is a B & B that stands out from the crowd and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

“Very welcoming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We had a lovely 2 night stay In Room 1 in September 2011. Lovely comfortable room with fresh fruit, torch and hot water bottle and greta view of the castle. In the morning there was fresh milk outside the room. Breakfast was delicious. Would have been very happy to stay longer and plan to go back again.

“Superb!”

This was our second stay at Roxbro House, in as many months! It is a stunning house, filled with charm and superb attention to detail.
We were made to feel immediately welcome.
The beds are incredibly comfortable, with feather and down mattress toppers, high quality feather duvets and pillows ... finished off with the best quality linens and thick thirsty towels.
Breakfast is a feast and all hot meals are cooked to order - the few minutes wait are well worth it!
Thank you both, for two lovely stays with you - and we hope to be back again soon!
We have no reservations at all in recommending Roxbro House.
