An expensive hotel for a very second rate experience. For £85 pounds per night, I would expect some kind of customer service. Cold rooms, I was given a radiator key and had to bleed the radiators myself to get some heat. No veggie breakfast. Very poor bed (a very thin mattress where you felt the hard bed under it). Everything about it screamed poor quality and shabby....Do yourself a faviour and stay somewhere else for a fraction of the place.

Arrived on Sunday after emailing hotel telling them we were getting married the day before so would be happy to upgrade if one was available. We were given the key to room 14, and I couldn't believe what we had been given.
It was a pokey room, pitch black due to 1 tiny sash window. Wallpaper coming off ceiling and the carpet needed hoovered never mind reolaced.
Absolutely devestated, spoilt what had been a fantastic weekend, NEVER AGAIN

This hotel is 'tired' with sash windows that sometimes have to be propped open with pieces of wood, floors that creak and facilities that could do with a makeover. Food below average (better places in the town). Overpriced for what it offers. Its position is the best thing about it.

when i stayed at the Sun Hotel the staff were very kind to me and i thought the food was delicious. When i went up to my room i thought the room was very cosy and nice. the view from the Sun Hotel is lovely. If i had the chance i would gladly stay at the sun hotel again.

went to the sun for a meal with my family, we all ordered mince n dumplings and i hav to say it was the worst i hav ever had..... it came with 3 soggy roast pots and a few peas no other veg. shocking concidering we paid 8.50 for it.
the staff were un helpful when i asked if any veg was coming she just said no n walked off
never again
