“Fantastic Couples Retreat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

We spent two nights here and it was absolutely fantastic. Although a short drive from the beach, it was completely secluded. We were welcomed by fantastic hosts who had already set up everything for our arrival. Music was playing in our chalet and the fridge was stocked with a braekfast hamper and champagne. The place was very clean and has big windows looking out into the bushland completely surrounding the chalet. We saw lots of native animals and sat out on the deck taking all the peacefullness in. I can't recommend this place enough. There are short walks you can do or why not pick up a dvd from the front office and settle in for the night.

Room Tip: Each bungalow/chalet is completely individual and with perks.

“A very pleasant week”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

We have just returned (reluctantly!) from a week staying in the Blue Bower with friends. The welcome was wonderful, with lovely touches like music playing, flowers, chocolates on the beds.....and the breakfast provided was so plentiful that it did us for two days! The ambience of the bower was lovely, (casual, comfortable and special all rolled into one) the outlook superb and the surrounding area was a joy to explore. It was so private that we could not tell if there was anyone else in the other bowers. We really did not want to leave! We'll be back!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Blue Bower - room for four and a great spa bath! I'm sure they are all equally...

Thanks JayneandBarry,
We're really pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us in the Blue Bower. When we designed The Bower, we had been living in the city and decided that we wanted to get away from other people ! Therefore, it followed that most of our guests might have the same aim, so we tried to make sure that each guest was not aware of the other guests staying. Hence the distance and vegetation between each of the Bowers. While our buildler & architect warned us about the extra cost of servicing this layout, we're glad to know that it's been worth it from your point of view.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your review.

“Romantic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

My Husband suprised me with two nights at the Bower. From the moment we arrived it was excellent the provisions and all the little extras were appreciated. Good coffee, great soap and the spotlight provided was great. Within the first five minutes we were visited by a porcupine strolling by Once the BBQ was started the Kookaburras came for dinner. The bird feeder provided a constant stream of beautiful birds. We are looking forward to going back.

Thanks for your feedback and we're delighted that you enjoyed your stay. You wouldn't believe how much work has gone into training that porcupine ! :-) Please remind us about him the next time you visit and we'll see what other surprises we can arrange ! LOL Seriously, we really are pleased that you like the extyras we put in the cabin. Things like the soap and candles are sourced locally, whenever possible and its great that our guests appreciate the quality.
We look forward to having the opportunity to host you again for another Romantic Getaway at The Bower.
Warm regards,
Sue & Mark

“Beautiful luxury nature getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

My husband and I just came back from a 5-day honeymoon at the Bower at Broulee and we both loved it. I have rarely been to accommodation that I didn't want to leave to pursue other activities but this was it. There were birds and possums to be seen from the balcony (gang gang cockatoos; little lorikeets, white-browed scrub wren, kookaburra, red-browed finch, a brush-tailed possum). Loved the two-person spa, the privacy, the bush trails, the well-stocked fridge. Everything was lovely.
One warning -- Don't try to have lunch in Mogo!! Comically bad food, service, and prices.

Dear LikesBooks,
We're glad that you enjoyed your stay at The Bower for your honeymoon [and I'd say the birds did too !!]
Also, we've noted your feedback about the eatery at Mogo and would really appreciate if you could let us know [by email] which one[s] you tried ! If so, we'll be careful about who we recommend.
Kind regards,
Sue & Mark

“Chic luxury in a Wildlife Sanctuary - bliss!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2011

We stayed here for two nights and were simply "wowed" the entire visit. The cabin was breathtaking, luxurious and one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at (we are frequent travelers). Everything was perfect, from the fully stocked fridge so we could have a private breakfast, to the all natural spa products in the bathroom, to the grand bedroom... even washer and dryer were in the cabin. They also had supplied bird seed so we could feed the parrots that visited us each morning! This was an incredible stay - thanks to Mark and Sue and the team for creating a vacation heaven!

Room Tip: All the cabins are amazing - I don't think there is a better one. Each one is perfect.
