 Carrara Markets

Just wondering if its worth the effort to have a look at the Carrara Market whilst we are in Broadbeach for 2 weeks. A little bit of shopping but more for entertainment for the kids.

Just some feedback on people's thoughts would be appreciated if it would be a good 1/2 day trip out to have a look and keep the kids occupied..

Yes, I would certainly go. check up the buses as a couple of years ago there was a free bus service from Broadbeach to the markets and back. We got the bus on surf parade.

Lots to see and do at the markets, though if it is really busy you might need to take care of the kids (if they are very small) as it can be crowded.

Have not been for a while, but they are worth a visit.

It is mostly just imported cheap stuff there. Very little craft or true "market" stuff. That being said, we go there occasionally. Our five year old likes to ride the ponies and there is a cheap merry go round for toddlers.

Worth a wander about, but I've rarely bought anything there.

Personally I don't think it's a great market it sells a lot of rubbish, but the kids enjoy it and there are often pony rides etc.

Thank for all for your replies. Think it might just be the go for the kids and leave the shopping alone.
