Broadbeach Forum: Taxi from Gold Coast airport to Broadbeach

If you don't mind taking public transport, there's bus #702: goldcoastairport.com.au/wp-content/themes/gc… that will take you from outside the Airport doors to Broadbeach. The bus trip should be about $7 per adult/one-way fare, and there is room for luggage on board.

Would these guys here have a bus that follows this route too? I ask because I'm thinking of buying one of their unlimited travel bus passes -

I'm not sure which pass you'll be purchasing (e.g. Freedom or Gold), but, the Freedom already has airport transfers included, while, the Gold doesn't, which means you could still catch bus #702 as it is part of the Surfside buslines network.

Not sure what your plans are on the GC or how long you'll be there, but, you might find paying individual bus fares (or using the Go Card) to be more cost-effective. There's a Journey Planner on the Translink site which can help you work out travel costs and therefore, whether the Pass is worth it or not. You can get a shuttle bus ' ConXion' which charge $22 from the airport to Broadbeach.

Taxi is more likely to cost around $60 to $65.

I have used both gcshuttle and ConXion and they are similar prices - around $22 per person each way. They are both very good. If you are traveling with one or two others it may be more convenient and not too much more expensive to get a taxi instead of arranging a shuttle. Sometimes if there are lots of people to drop off or pick up it can add 30 minutes to your journey to or from the airport. Just a few things to weigh up when deciding what mode of transport to take from the Gold Coast airport to Broadbeach.

The difference with the shuttle and ConXion is that ConXion takes you right to your door, but GC Shuttle doesn't.

Last Feb our taxi cost $78 from the airport to our hotel just across from the convention centre.
