“ Leaving car behind ”

Forgive me if this has been asked here a million times - the only similar question I found was over a year old. My husband and I are looking into going to Victoria for a weekend in December and would like to leave our car behind but are unsure how safe it is and about how much it would cost. We'd only be gone for 1 or 2 nights but the thought of leaving our car makes my husband uneasy but we'd like to avoid the hassle and cost of taking it with us when we'd probably just walk everywhere anyway. Thank you for any help and advice!
